Expaterience is an unique English-language TV talk show and online/social media project. True to its name, the program focuses entirely on the stories and experiences of expats and internationals in the Netherlands, highlighting both their successes and the challenges they face in personal and professional life, situated within the context of key social issues and current international developments.

Expaterience is the first English-language TV program and online/social media presence produced by RTV Discus, the community access public service TV producer in Greater The Hague, for almost thirty years. As such, the launch of Expaterience, in May of 2025, heralded the expansion of RTV Discus’ current line-up, signifying its third TV production, alongside the long-standing Dutch-language programs: social issues talk show, Zaterdag Live, and current affairs news magazine, Escampjournaal. Of note is that, from launch, contentwise, Expaterience is being made entirely by expat/international volunteers.
